EMI Test Engineer

Job Description :

Plan, prepare, perform and document component, subsystem and system level EMI testing operations. Based on detailed test plans, develop test procedures and lead a team in executing the testing operations documented in the test procedure. Apply technical understanding of radio frequency systems to execute EMI/EMC, passive inter-modulation (PIM) and unit level antenna testing test operations. Develop, author and execute clear, detailed test procedures based on customer's test requirements for complete systems and/or subsystems. Coordinate and communicate status of testing activities with programs and other organizations. Perform analysis of test results and prepare comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance. Facilitate the initiation and closure of discrepancy reports. Must be willing to work swing and grave shifts and weekends as required.

SURVICE Engineering is looking to hire two full time, mid to senior level EMC/EMI Engineers for a multi-year, multi-million dollar Air Force program at Eglin AFB in Florida’s Gulf Coast. This is the beginning of this 5 year follow on effort which is budgeted to run through 2022. The EMI/EMC Engineer will support the AFSEO Evaluate Compatibility and Technical Advice process by preparing and assisting in testing and collecting EMC/EMI test results, analyzing EMC/EMI test results, preparing test reports for assigned EMC/EMI test programs, conducting EMC/EMI studies and analyses, and using Computational Electromagnetics Modeling and Simulation in a collaborative team environment.
